TSPAN34 is invalid

[edit]

TSPAN34 is listed as one of 34 humam Tetraspanins.
TSPAN34 is not an approved gene symbol according to http://www.genenames.org/cgi-bin/search?search_type=symbols&search=TSPAN34&submit=Submit
TSPAN34 is not a known protein name according to http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/?query=TSPAN34&sort=score
Earlier on this Wiki page, it says there are 34 mammalian tetraspanins, but only 33 identified human tetraspanins.
I am reluctant to delete it myself, because I do not know why it was added. I did find it listed on http://pfam.sanger.ac.uk/family/PF00335 but that page is derived from this Wiki page. It may be relevant that the External Link to Comprehensive list of human tetraspanins is a dead link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.249.195.44 (talk) 08:34, 4 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
