"The success contributed to an award"

Penultimate paragraph: "There he met many of American abstract expressionists, including Marc Rothko who, along with his wife Mel, became great friends. The success contributed to an award of the John Moore Prize for 1965." Can anyone explain what this means? Robocon1 (talk) 00:50, 16 April 2017 (UTC)

I agree that several sentences in this section are unclear, and unsourced, so I am removing the following from the last paragraph of the Career section:

"At the Barbara Schaeffer Society in New York, 1960 he put on his first exhibition in USA. There he met many of American abstract expressionists, including Marc Rothko who, along with his wife Mel, became great friends. The success contributed to an award of the John Moore Prize for 1965."

In addition to the statement about "the success" being unclear, there is no source that states he won the John Moore prize in 1965, and he is not listed on the John Moores Painting Prize wiki page. There is also no source for the "Barbara Schaefer Society" and I can find no record of such a society. I have, however, found an article from the 1964 Arts Yearbook on the New York Gallery Scene stating that Frost was represented by the Bertha Schaefer Gallery in New York, and will be adding this to the page.     • There really aren't "hundreds of knighted artists". It's pretty rare for an artist to be knighted. Neither is it only relevant to one country.
