Sequel planned?
[edit]Does anyone know if a sequel is planned? Or another book in the same setting, much earlier or later, as Alastair Reynolds has done elsewhere? The 'backstory' seems much more complex than was needed just for the events of the book. --GwydionM (talk) 19:26, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
Facts revealed
[edit]During an interview (June 3, Fantasticon, Copenhagen), Alastair Reynolds revealed two facts.
- The planet is in fact Mars.
- The spire is an entrance to a galaxy spanning transit system of some sort.
I mention this here because I'm not sure how this should be incorporated in the article. Feel free to use it or not. OmmadawnDK (talk) 12:42, 5 June 2012 (UTC)
Original research
[edit]This article is almost 100% pure original research and contains an excess of details that are only of interest to obsessive fans of the book. Sorry to be rude, but it needs to be changed to a more encyclopedic style. Ashmoo (talk) 12:23, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
