Add topic for fruit fly control

Greetings, I'm no bio expert. May I suggest adding a section on how to control or eliminate fruit flies? It was the reason I looked this up. Responsiblebum 08:57, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

divisions

Shouldn't the subfamilies listen in the text be in the taxobox and the genera listed in the different subfamily pages? Plcoffey (talk) 23:23, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Extermination!

If you would like to get rid of these little buggers but don't have time to mess around with bottle traps and vinegar, try this, "Oven Trap" method.

• Cover your plates, food, and appliances with plastic sheeting.

• Place the fruit (like a banana) on the middle rack of the oven.

• Leave the oven door overnight. The flies will then swarm towards the fruit.

• The next day, quietly close the oven door and set it to 300 degrees.

• After all the flies have roasted to their death, clean out the oven.
