So what exactly is a "tented roof", anyway? The text explains origin, effect, variations, etc. But when does a roof count as tented? I take it "not a flat roof" doesn't cut it. A definition or generic description of the term would be helpful to those who have no prior knowledge. Algae 14:51, 22 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Actually it looks like a tented roof is either: 1) a conical (actually polygonal) roof made of wood, where wood logs are located along the sides of the roof, which makes the roof to be high, thin and rather pointed, 2) or a roof of similar shape (thin, pointed, nearly conical), made of brick or stone.
