This is impressive: making a substantial article about a village which gets lots of mentions in literature, but almost all of them frustratingly fleeting. African settlements have been underserved on Wikipedia for so long, so well done for taking this on. This is an article written in a very Wikipedian way with good attention to detail. Earwig confirms the text is original. The size is fine and the nomination was made two days after creating the article. QPQ done.
- About the hook, it's interesting and correctly formatted but I think at DYK we shy away from statements of mere possibility ("may have" / "could have been") and the wording of this source allows you to be stronger. An expert saying "It seems evident" implies that they think anyone else with the relevant expertise would agree. So I think we can treat this as a categorical statement. On my reading, the author describes this mosque specifically to contrast against other mosques which are merely thought to be converted Christian churches. So I would replace "may have originally been" with a more definite verb. MartinPoulter (talk) 17:13, 23 April 2026 (UTC)

Designation in infobox
[edit]@Mariamnei I've just spotted that in the infobox the "settlement_type" is "city". Was this meant to be "village"? I don't get the impression that Temezda is a large settlement. MartinPoulter (talk) 17:21, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
