Louis Couperus and Tegal.
[edit]The famous Dutch writer, Louis Couperus,travelled to Tegal in June 1899, to visit his sister Trudy.
Her husband Gerard Vallette was Resident there at the time. His important novel "De stille kracht" is mainly set here.The novel is in the first place the story about the hatress of the uppressed indonesian population against there uppressors, the Dutch. - Tegal the city only has a very recent spike - it is not the #1 in anything but the last week. Tegal Regency seems notable as well (bit of a New York city vs. New York state situation it seems). SnowFire (talk) 19:24, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
- Support per WP:DABCONCEPT with Tegal Regency like Fareham/Borough of Fareham and CollabRx doesn't appear to be a strong contender for "Tegal" and gets less than 10% of the views of the city alone. Crouch, Swale (talk) 16:45, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
