Biblical source section

"The obligation of tefillin is mentioned four times in the Torah:"

This doesn't sound right in wikivoice, IMO it's a statement of faith, and the lead says The biblical verses often cited as referring to tefillin are obscure. Also, per WP:RSPSCRIPTURE, some brilliant secondary sourcing would be good.

My suggestion is something like "The practice of wearing tefillin is based on these four verses..." but it should have a good non-primary source. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 08:16, 26 April 2022 (UTC)

Except that the Tefillin contain the 4 passages that mention Tefillin. A secondary source would be the Kabalistic declaration that mentions the 4 passages as well. Saxophonemn (talk) 11:49, 12 January 2023 (UTC)

Why is the first citation pointing to another Wikipedia article?

I feel like what gives Wikipedia articles their credibility is that they cite real sources which are verified by moderators. Surely we can find a better way to support the first claim than another Wikipedia article. Hairychessat15 (talk) 04:39, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

Article review

It has been a while since this article was reviewed, so I took a look and noticed the following:

• There are uncited statements, including entire pargaraphs,
• Biblical quotes are references twice in the article: in "Biblical source" and "Biblical commandments". This is repeative and neither section gives context and explanations for the quote's meanings. I think one of them needs to be removed and the biblical context explained in more detail.

Saturn

There is no established historical or theological link between Judaism as a whole and the planet Saturn. Judaism's Sabbath (Shabbat) is rooted in the creation narrative and covenantal law, not in planetary worship or classical astrological associations. SunDog | Talk 03:19, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
