It would be interesting to note the difference in speeds in a TTT versus an ITT. Besselfunctions 15:58, 1 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hey I still wonder about this. Besselfunctions (talk) 17:08, 5 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Mea culpa - and call for help

[edit]

I today added a paragraph to the header that specified how the winning team in a TTT is determined (regardless of whether the TTT is a stand-alone event or part of a stage race): this fundamental fact had previously been completely missing! I also added a summary of how times are allocated to individual riders in a TTT that is part of a stage race. Only after doing this did I realise that this latter info was already covered in the section "Team time trials in stage racing". I was going to remove the duplication, but then saw that the arrangement of the article overall needs a big shake-up: for example, detailed TTT tactics are currently given a lengthy discussion before some of the basic facts. Also, there need to be many more specific citations included. I'll try to get back to all this when I have time, but any other editors who are upset by the duplicated information are warmly invited to have a go! Ian Page (talk) 23:33, 9 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
