[edit]The last sentence is a bit confusing. "The village of Old Sparta was formerly an important riverport on the Tar, but has declined in the 20th century." Did the village decline in the 20th century, or has it declined since the 20th Century? S0me l0ser 00:59, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
