The article implies that Tang was awarded the rank of senior colonel upon joining the People's Liberation Army Air Force in 1995. Not only is this highly unlikely, but it is unsupported by the linked source, which further implies that his promotion was (as in most militaries) gradual.

Furthermore, his origins in a farming family and the existence of a brother are not supported by the sources linked, which simply contain basic biographical and career information. Finally, the qq.com link leads to a landing page containing a feed of current topics, rather than anything specific to this astronaut.
