[edit]In a comparison published in 2017, the researchers found the proprietary program ABBYY FineReader to yield the best PDF table extraction performance among six different tools evaluated.
Unfortunately the paper is closed access. For all I know, the margin of victory over 2nd place was 1%. If so, this claim constitutes naked commercial self-promotion.
I noticed this because I have myself used FineReader in the past and I was very happy with it for my use case. — MaxEnt 00:25, 11 December 2021 (UTC)
