Should we include the HOI4 mod?

It's a pretty big mod and a couple gaming magazines have made articles on it, so I think it deserves to be included. Sammy2012 (talk) 15:50, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

Should The New Order: Last Days of Europe be added?

The New Order: Last Days of Europe is a mod for the videogame Hearts of Iron IV, and it's commonly referred to by its acronym, "TNO." I haven't found a valid reason to not add it to this disambiguation page, as the mod is notable enough to be mentioned multiple times in a variety of Wikipedia articles and disambiguation pages such as:

- Hypothetical Axis victory in World War II

- List of fictional political parties

- List of fictional African countries

- List of fictional monarchs of real countries

- New Order (disambiguation)

- Hearts of Iron IV, which has a description of the mod (in fact, if you look up the name of the mod, it will automatically redirect you to the section of the HoI4 article with the description)

In many of these cases, the mod is referenced with sources like an article from Wargamer about the mod (Wargamer is considered a valid source in other articles like Kaiserreich, another HoI4 mod). There is an invisible comment that appears when trying to edit this page that says the mod shouldn't be added because of an AfD discussion about this mod (someone tried to make an article about it), where everyone quickly agreed that The New Order wasn't notable enough and didn't have enough coverage from reliable sources (the result of this discussion was the redirect to Hearts of Iron IV I've mentioned). However, AfD discussions only determine whether something is relevant enough to have an article (which is why it's called "Article for Deletion"), but they don't determine if something should be mentioned on Wikipedia (again, the mod is mentioned in the articles I've linked).

As far as I can tell going through the article's revision history, the mod has been constantly and deleted, often without any explanation other than "reverting vandalism." When someone asked if the mod should be included in this article in the Talk page, they didn't recieve any answers, and so I want to ask again if the mod should be included. I personally think that although the mod doesn't have enough independent coverage to have an article of its own, it should still be included here, as most people looking up "TNO" are likely searching for this mod. If this mod is already mentioned in the disambiguation page New Order, why shouldn't it be mentioned here? Juanix-2212 (talk) 20:30, 22 April 2025 (UTC)

@Juanix-2212 I can no longer find an extant mention of the mod. Even if there were, to index it here, it would need to provide sufficient cited info on the mod. Crucially, this would need to include the detail that it is referred to as "TNO" otherwise it fails WP:DABMENTION. You'd be better off raising this at Talk:Hearts of Iron IV.
