Updates to article

Hi, I’m Stephanie and I’m here as part of my work for Beutler Ink. On behalf of TJ Ducklo I would like to propose the following updates to the page:

• Remove "Alexi McCammond" from partner in infobox as sourcing from Politico will confirm this is no longer accurate.

• Replace "Junior deputy press secretary" with "Deputy Press Secretary" because the current title is not accurate.

• Add the following to the Career section, "Ducklo joined Biden's 2024 campaign and stayed after it turned into the Kamala Harris campaign, later leaving for a position as chief strategist at a PAC called Democracy Defenders." in order to add recent Career history.

Further article updates

Hello Wikipedia, I would like to once again make a few proposed updates for this page on behalf of TJ Ducklo and as part of my work for Beutler Ink. Likeanechointheforest given your interest in the last request, I want to put this one on your radar.

• Add the following sentence, "Palmeri later wrote on Puck that she and Ducklo made amends and she said that, "there are some people who deserve to be canceled, but T.J. Ducklo is not one of them.""
  • This should be placed at the very end of the Deputy Press Secretary subsection. The intent of this is to add the conclusion of this series of events to the article, which is currently missing.
• Add, "His clients have included Jeff Zucker and Ketanji Brown Jackson"
  • This should be added to the sentence following, "In June 2021, Ducklo joined Risa Heller Communications…"
  • Additionally, to that sentence (In June 2021, Ducklo joined Risa Heller Communications) I would like to propose removing the adjective "boutique" as it is not supported in sourcing.
• Add, "Ducklo entered remission."
  • This should go at the end of the Personal life section. The intent of this is to add the conclusion of this diagnosis to the article, which is currently missing.

Image added. I highly recommend cropping it portrait-style to focus just on Ducklo, so that his face is actually visible at infobox size. If you'd like to make that change I'm pre-approving it here, no need to go through another edit request.

Per WP:ELNO I'm not even sure the Twitter is appropriate, but if it's his most prominent public presence I can sort of imagine putting it in the "official website" slot. His Twitter has over 50,000 followers while his Linkedin has 2,000, so if we're keeping just one then Twitter is definitely the correct one. Rusalkii (talk) 23:15, 20 February 2025 (UTC)

Rusalkii, I see what you mean about the image. Here is a link to a cropped image on Wikimedia Commons: File:TJ Ducklo in 2020 (Crop).jpg. I appreciate you've given permission, but are you able to swap out the image for me?

Introduction and copy edits

Hello!

This article has been updated several times in the last few weeks and so I thought a rework of the introduction needed to be proposed. This is to make it a bit more concise, as well as summarizing only the most important points. Flagging Rusalkii since you answered the last request.

Proposed Introduction

Tyler Joseph "TJ" Ducklo (born September 22, 1988) is an American political advisor. Ducklo previously served under former president Joe Biden as a special assistant to the president and White House Deputy Press Secretary in 2021; as national press secretary for Biden's 2020 presidential campaign; and as senior advisor on the subsequent 2024 presidential campaign.

Additionally, I noticed a few copy errors in the Public relations subsection and wanted to point them out.

• Add, "a" to the following sentence, before the word "boutique": "In June 2021, Ducklo joined Risa Heller Communications, boutique public relations firm in New York, as a senior vice president."
• Add a period to the end of the following sentence: His clients have included Jeff Zucker and Ketanji Brown Jackson

Inclusion on List

Thanks for the review and implementation of my last request Likeanechointheforest!

I noticed that this article is on the List of federal political sex scandals in the United States. I don't think that the situation with Alexi McCammond and Tara Palmeri constitutes a sex scandal. It was an established relationship with McCammond and the situation drew controversy not from the relationship but the aftermath on how it was handled. I believe it should be removed from this list. Thanks Likeanechointheforest ! It looks like an unregistered user made unconstructive and inaccurate edits to the Introduction.The edit removes the description of "American", makes grammatical errors, and implies Ducklo was fired from the positions he has held. This isn't true; he resigned as White House deputy press secretary in 2021.
