How do I "read" the pretty picture at the top left?
[edit]I see nice colours, some thin wires and some thick coiling ribbons, a couple of arrows... how do I interpret it? (I'm a programmer, to give some background to my query) thanks --92.29.230.200 (talk) 23:50, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

- Err, yes, I got that it's a diagram of a protein, but I was quite specific - what do the colours, thick/thin bits, arrows etc, mean? What links can you suggest to help me understand what these mean? Include Reference from new research
[edit]As of April 21 2017, Scientific American published an article on research which indicates the TIMP2 is necessary for memory function, and hightened levels actually improves brain function. The article references the journal published in Nature here. Someone who knows how to properly cite and summarize such things, please include this new and potentially groundbreaking information.
