Expansion

[edit]

Despite citing multiple valuable sources on TAS2R38, this page was inadequate and lacking information. I expanded it into three sections: "signal transduction", "PTC sensitivity", and "PROP bitterness, sensitivity, and alcoholism". I used most of the sources already cited in the references with the addition of several primary articles referenced in cited review articles. I created links back to the main "taste receptor" page and linked out to other Wikipedia articles to make the scientific jargon understandable to inexperienced readers. I also added external links to the TAS2R38 Gene Card and the TAS2R38 OMIM page. Previously, the page was a stub, but I have expanded it to encompass several basic but crucial aspects of the TAS2R38 receptor.
