[edit]I was providing accurate and important information. the page is inaccurate as it is. ~2026-27357-78 (talk) 19:24, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- It is inappropriate to remove a factually correct addition. ~2026-27357-78 (talk) 19:26, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- It may be factually correct, but it's self-evident when you look at the table. Even if it were to be stated, you'd want to put it under the table specifically, and not in other parts of the article. Tessaract2 (hello) 19:35, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- ok. i'm more than happy to put it where it should go... but it's an important correction because people are quoting the "total" in other places as if they were complete. ~2026-27357-78 (talk) 19:37, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- I'll also mention that phrasing it like
vastly under-represents the total
is a gigantic violation of WP:NPOV. See the way I phrased it on Synk: Hyper Line. Tessaract2 (hello) 19:39, 7 May 2026 (UTC)- the way you worded it is fine. it gets the point across. but the "total" being added from only the reported nights actually DOES "vastly underrepresent" the total. its not just a point of view it's a mathematical truth. ~2026-27357-78 (talk) 19:44, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- That's not easy to know without the actual numbers being reported; as far as I know, only a single person showed up to the unreported shows. That's likely untrue, but unless you find sources that discusses this, Wikipedia can't take a stance either way. Tessaract2 (hello) 19:46, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- dude..... you can literally look at yourtube clips of the nights and see that they were full. there is zero credibility for that claim you just made. ~2026-27357-78 (talk) 19:47, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- I already said it's probably not true, but information on Wikipedia needs to be verifiable using reliable sources. In other words, we can't say that the number written is way lower than it should be until someone else writes about it in the news, basically. Tessaract2 (hello) 19:49, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- That's not neurtal... that's protecting a falsehood. again... you can easily look at any fancam of any of those nights and see it. . while we don't know what the exact attendance was, it's VERY easy to see it's nowhere near zero. ~2026-27357-78 (talk) 19:52, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- Fancams are not a reliable source. We need news outlets to say something. It's frustrating, I get it. Tessaract2 (hello) 19:56, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- lmao @ "fancams are not a reliable source" but you're protecting assuming it's zero.... your'e a real piece of work... ~2026-27357-78 (talk) 19:57, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- fancams are literally direct physical evidence genuis ~2026-27357-78 (talk) 19:58, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- I have a feeling this won't be helpful, but to be specific, fancams count as user generated content. Anyone can post them, so anyone can fake them. Again, it's very unlikely that this isn't the case, but it's Wikipedia policy to not take that risk. Tessaract2 (hello) 20:01, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- you're just being absurd now. it's not like there's "a fancam or two"... there are dozens, if not hundreds... showing the same thing. also , if ANY artist had a zero... or anywhere close to fully empty show, it would have been ~ ALL OVER ~ the news. ~2026-27357-78 (talk) 20:06, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- These SM Idols Attended Day 2 Of aespa’s “SYNK: HYPER LINE” Concert, Proving The SM Family Bond - Koreaboo <~~ there's your "news" for the first night of hyperline... showing a photo that has the ~ exact same ~ crowd as many of the fancams. ~2026-27357-78 (talk) 20:08, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- The first night of Hyper Line has a reported attendance, so that's not helpful unfortunately. Would you like me to grab a third opinion so I can see if I'm being unreasonable? There's an entire site function for doing so. Tessaract2 (hello) 20:12, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- sure. ~2026-27357-78 (talk) 20:13, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- It's been posted. Tessaract2 (hello) 20:18, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- https://kbizoom.com/aespa-captivates-dallas-sold-out-concert-fans-sing-along-in-korean/ <~~ there's one for hyperline in Dallas. ~2026-27357-78 (talk) 20:15, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- This is certainly better. I'm still not confident on
vastly underestimating
, but if we find a couple more it'll certainly be worth mentioning more than just "unreported". My quick searches for Miami, Atlanta, and Washington D.C. didn't bear any fruit, however. Tessaract2 (hello) 20:22, 7 May 2026 (UTC)- None of the rest of the unreported cities had any reports on the attendance either. There was an article about Chile's concert before it happened, but not after. Tessaract2 (hello) 20:28, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- here's one for miami... and while it doesn't show enough to estimate the actual attendance... it IS enough to show that it's nowhere close to zero. aespa Live Tour 2023 - 'SYNK: HYBER LINE' in Miami Recap ~2026-27357-78 (talk) 21:06, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- aespa Kicks Off 2026 Tour With Sold-Out Hong Kong Concert ~2026-27357-78 (talk) 21:22, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- that's okay... at least you're looking into it. that's what i wanted, just not blind protection of the zero assumption. thank you. ~2026-27357-78 (talk) 20:30, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- keep in mind too... i'm not claiming that all these are "sold out".. i think several of them aren't. but none that i saw were "sparsely sold" either. which... even if it's just 4k here and 6k there... across 10 venues would up to a huge difference. ~2026-27357-78 (talk) 20:35, 7 May 2026 (UTC)

| ~2026-27357-78, Tessaract2, I moved this discussion to the talk page, which is where article content discussions should be held.
I think this version by Tessaract2 would be what I prefer on each of the three articles involved. It's self-evident that if numbers aren't yet reported then they shouldn't be counted as zero. This is assuming that accurate numbers will eventually be released. I agree that you can't use fancams, as that's Original research. If there's a specific show that is reported as "sold-out" but doesn't have exact numbers that can be mentioned in a note. Also, please don't edit war, use the talk page in the future. - Thanks for moving it; I considered doing it myself but I know the TA's probably a new editor and I wanted to keep things simple for them. It also felt weird to move it to one specific article since we were technically talking about three.
- I've added the "sold out" sources the TA mentioned to the corresponding articles. The one about Miami for Hyper Line doesn't mention attendance, so I've not used it as of now. Tessaract2 (hello) 01:28, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
