Suttree Landing Park

[edit]

There's a "Suttree Landing Park" in Knoxville, TN which is named after the protagonist of the book. (See here under "History of Park", though they misidentify Suttree as McCarthy's first novel): https://www.knoxvilletn.gov/government/city_departments_offices/parks_and_recreation/parks/suttree_landing_park)

There's also a large statue in the city called "The Oarsman" which has gained a reputation as being connected to the Cornelius Suttree character, but there's no reliable source which states this as far as I can tell. Anyway, I thought this might be some useful tidbits if this article is ever expanded out like the one on Blood Meridian. 101.98.134.21 (talk) 09:22, 29 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
