Remove unsourced material
[edit]There is a big section in the middle with unsourced material... everyone knows where unsourced material comes from... (let me give you a hint: the political office of the member being written about!) It should just be removed... I know there's a big box around it right now saying it's unsourced, but I say we should just delete it! What do others think? 101.183.21.131 (talk) 12:45, 6 July 2018 (UTC)

Good Article review progress box
|
1. Well-written
- ...and has served as Deputy Premier of South Australia in the Malinauskas ministry from 2022 to 2025. Take out the word "has" here since she no longer holds the position
- In 2025 she was Acting Premier on several occasions before announcing her retirement in 2025. Add a comma after "2025" and remove the second "in 2025"
- She later obtained a doctorate in political science, completing a PhD on the Australian Labor Party (ALP) covering the years 1983 to 1991. Clarify that the thesis was on the ALP, not the degree itself
2. Verifiable
- Can you add the website/new organization names to refs. 22 and 25
- Add access date to ref. 37
The article uses reliable sources from news organizations, press releases, etc. Spot check for original research and copyright violations: 3, 11, 20, 33, 40, 50– all good.
- 5: ...following Kevin Foley's resignation in November 2011. Can you add more support for when Foley resigned
3. Broad
The article covers the major aspects of her political career and her early/personal life without unnecessary detail
4. Neutral
Neutrality is particularly important for articles on political figures, and I do not see any issues here.
5. Stable
I have looked through the talk page and edit history and do not see any ongoing content disputes.
6. Illustrated
The images are tagged with their copyright statuses, are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions

QPQ:
- Not done
Overall:
@Pangalau:, I'd suggest seeing if you can come up with another hook to give whoever promotes this a bit of a choice. Otherwise, good to go. TarnishedPathtalk 08:02, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
- I've cropped the image of Close, which may look better if a promoter decides to go with this in the top hook. TarnishedPathtalk 08:07, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
@Pangalau: you've provided the same QPQ for this (Template:Did you know nominations/74th Street Generating Station) as you have for both Template:Did you know nominations/Nurul Izzah Anwar and Template:Did you know nominations/Carrick Hill. Given that you have now made more than 5 nominations, you need to fully review one other nomination for each nomination that you make. Please go perform additional reviews so that Template:Did you know nominations/74th Street Generating Station is only listed on one of your nominations. TarnishedPathtalk 08:20, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
- @TarnishedPath: Apologies for the delay; I've just finished a QPQ after reviewing a rather fascinating article and hook. Pangalau (talk) 14:35, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
@Pangalau thankyou for the QPQ. TarnishedPathtalk 22:59, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- @TarnishedPath: I have proposed an alternative for the nomination. Pangalau (talk) 04:56, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
approved for a slight variation of ALT1, ALT1a: ... that Susan Close (pictured), Deputy Premier of South Australia, declared a climate emergency, committing to decarbonising the state economy and achieving net-zero emissions?- TarnishedPathtalk 05:11, 28 October 2025 (UTC)

I'm rejecting this as the nominator has recieved an indefinite block as a sock puppet. TarnishedPathtalk 06:48, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
