Boyle became the first female artist in history to have a number one album simultaneously in both the United Kingdom and United States within the space of a year. I've changed it to The success continued with her second studio album, The Gift (2010), where she became only the third act ever (and the first woman artist) to top both the UK and US album charts with two different albums in the same year. which hopefully makes more sense. I would suggest changing the sentence "Later that year, she recorded a duet with Elvis Presley, "O Come, All Ye Faithful" for his Christmas themed album, Home for Christmas (2013)."
to: "Later that year, she recorded a posthumous duet with Elvis Presley, "O Come, All Ye Faithful" for her Christmas themed album, Home for Christmas (2013)."
The changes I am suggesting are 1) to add the word "posthumous" before "duet with Elvis Presley", as otherwise it is disconcerting to read that she recorded a duet in 2013 with someone who died in 1977, and to change "his" album " to "her" album, as the album in question is a Susan Boyle album that contains only one song with Presley (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Home_for_Christmas_(Susan_Boyle_album))
Finally, there is an issue with dates, because the full paragraph says:
On 13 May 2012, she performed at Windsor Castle for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Pageant singing "Mull of Kintyre",[14] and performed it at the Opening Ceremony of the 2014 Commonwealth Games on 23 July in front of the Queen.[15] Later that year, she recorded a duet with Elvis Presley, "O Come, All Ye Faithful" for his Christmas themed album, Home for Christmas (2013)."
Since the last date mentioned before the reference to the Presley duet is 2014, it is impossible that she recorded a 2013 album "later that year". For the sake of clarity, I would also suggest changing the beginning of the final sentence (in that paragraph) to something along the lines of, "In 2012, she also recorded.."
If all three of my proposed changes are accepted, the sentence would read: "In 2012, she also recorded a posthumous duet with Elvis Presley, "O Come, All Ye Faithful" for her Christmas themed album, Home for Christmas (2013)." 2603:7000:D02:BC22:8C7A:6E4D:BC53:5A1 (talk) 01:16, 19 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
