Added DVD Info

[edit]

I added some information on the Italian DVD release of this film and I also added that as a result of that, bootleg DVD copies of the film have been sold in the USA. I happen to have a bootleg DVD copy myself that I bought off of Ebay two years ago. Italy happens to be the only country in the world to officially release this film onto DVD.

I just thought that I would share.Frschoonover (talk) 17:24, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fascinating! I never knew that. I wonder why Italy of all places was able to release it on DVD...it seems doubtful that it's an officially licensed release, though.Skibz777 (talk) 23:15, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Each and every country is different regarding music copyright laws.Italy is no exception. This is an official release because it has a menu and scene selection, which is about it.There is no theatrical trailer.I guess that the Italian DVD distributor had no problem obtaining the proper issues of copyright regarding the soundtrack due to the country's laws being different.Plus, most songs are always handled by different publishing firms in other countries.

Maybe one of these days, there will be an official DVD release of the film over here in North America.

I hope that this clears things up.Frschoonover (talk) 02:01, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I updated the page. The Surf II Italian DVD is now out of print. I googled the link and I had it translated and right by the red X, it says in Italian that the DVD is now out of print. I just wanted to update the article.Frschoonover (talk) 01:39, 14 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
