Possible typo, "aim" for "arm"?

[edit]

In this sentence, "As per the Matsya Purana, when the god Shiva as Tripurantaka sets off to the three demon cities, various deities aim him. Surasa and other goddesses become his arrows and spears. When drops of the demon Andhaka multiplying into many demons, Surasa and other mother goddesses called matrikas aim Shiva slay the demon, by drinking the blood.[3]" it would make much more sense if the first instance of "aim" were really "arm". Aim is "to point in a particular direction". Arm is "to supply weapons to". The second appearance of "aim" is out of place and should be removed, if I am reading correctly.
