Dubious alt title

[edit]

Can any source confirm that "supervillainess" is more common for females than simply "supervillain"? As far as I know "villain" is not male-exclusive. First global super villian

[edit]

I do not want to attempt an alteration of Wikipedia fearing I will not do it correctly, but will leave it up to others. It seems there should be an entry for global super villains, that is, villains intending to take over the whole world. The earliest I know of is the appropriately named “Master of the World” in one of the last books written by Jules Verne, “Master of the World” written in 1905. The definition of supervillain

[edit]

The definition in the start of the title defines a supervillain as having superpowers which often is not the case, seeing as many characters like Joker don't possess any innate powers. The image of this article also features four characters without superpowers (Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman, and Joker).

I have begun by adding more potential features alongside superpowers (e.g. "intellect, physical abilities, and ambition often surpass those in everyday villains") . Emcgonigle (talk) 00:06, 9 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
