Hello — I work for KYT Americas, part of the group that owns the Suomy brand (paid-contribution disclosure on my user page: User:L337sponge), so I'm proposing this correction here rather than editing the article directly. The article currently says: "In 2014, Suomy was acquired by a private investment fund that took ownership of the brand." Contemporary Italian press coverage of the sale identifies the buyer: the Suomy brand was sold in September 2013 by the founding Monti family, with the brand going to the Indonesian group that manufactures KYT helmets (PT Tarakusuma Indah / Tara Group), reported at the time via the Hong Kong investment vehicle "SK Sport". Design and R&D remained in Italy under Suomy Motosport S.r.l. of Lurago d'Erba while production moved to the group's Indonesian factories. Proposed text (replacing the quoted sentence):
Infobox: add The current "private investment fund" wording is uncited and contradicted by the contemporary reporting above. Happy to provide further sources. L337sponge (talk) 22:54, 7 July 2026 (UTC) | |
- Hey, just a question, did you use an LLM to write this request? pattersonuwu njz (talk) 23:51, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
