while there biggest hit singles (Fat Lip, In Too Deep, The Hell Song and Underclass Hero) are of the Pop-punk genre, only 4 out of 9 main releases (Half Hour of Power, All Killer No Filler, Underclass Hero, and the Heaven side of Heaven :x: Hell) have Pop-punk as its primary genre, the rest of there discography exhibits a heavier, Punk Rock, Alternative Metal, Melodic Hardcore and straight up Metal sound, should a band be judged by there Biggest hits and early work? or there entire discography? as (Does This Look Infected?, Chuck, Screaming Bloody Murder, 13 Voices and Order In Decline) match's one of the 4 genre's I just listed, while Sum 41 was undeniably Pop-punk at a time, it shouldn't be listed as the Main genre Look Ma, No Brains! @Look Ma, No Brains!: Are you saying we should remove pop-punk or just move it down the list? Four out of nine albums is more than sufficient enough for pop-punk to be included. More importantly, hey are widely considered a to be pop-punk band by reliable sources. I don't see the problem. While exceptions have been made on some articles, it is generally recommended to stick two to four genres. As a compromise for your recent edit, I think we could potentially replace skate punk with punk rock. This would cover both skate punk and melodic hardcore since they are both subgenres of punk rock. Move it down the list, Sum 41 has made Pop-punk style music, no doubt about it, I just don't feel it should be listed first, List it second or third. and I think It would make more sense to list Punk Rock, instead of Skate Punk, as Skate punk is only listed as a genre on All Killer No Filler and Half Hour of Power, Skate Punk doesn't feel notable enough to be listed in the Info box, so I think the genre order should be, Punk Rock, Pop-punk, Alternative metal and Alternative rock, that makes the most sense to me Look Ma, No Brains! I agree that skate punk is the outlier in this conversation. Its mentions in sources usually corresponds to albums overwhelming called pop-punk, and of their four albums sourced as being pop-punk, only two are called skate punk. I'm neutral to the inclusion of punk rock, I understand it as an umbrella descriptor but I'm not sure it describes their sound that appropriately. I think melodic hardcore should probably be brought back, it's sourced for three of their albums and would encompass the two sourced as skate punk. Just a note though, I don't see any connotation of the order of genres implying a hierachy, it means they play all of them, not one more than the other.
