Sulfur polycations

A while ago, User:范皓程 changed S₁₆²⁺ to S₁₉²⁺ without giving a good edit summary. I'm not sure if they're being helpful or subtly vandalising, or are just confused. The Sulfur compounds page has a section that looks almost the same, except it says S₁₆²⁺ instead. Procrastinator202 (talk) 23:36, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

19 is correct. What was thought to be S²⁺

URLs pointing at pages

@Zinjafr: Thanks for adding the page number parameter to multiple reference templates. But you also removed the URL parameters required for bringing up the exact page being referenced and highlighting the relevant passage when you click on the link. Of course. I was trying to give them all the same format (google.com instead of google.fr) for consistency's sake, what would be better when the highlighted part is only accessible in the French version? Should I revert it to a ".fr" URL so the highlight shows, or leave it out and only reference the page? Zinjafr (talk) 00:42, 3 July 2026 (UTC)

It would be nice if they were all .com, but I think it's more important to preserve the direct link to the page and the highlighting. My guess is that it is possible on .com, too, but you might need to rewrite the URL. Macrakis (talk) 02:03, 3 July 2026 (UTC)

@Zinjafr:Thanks for updating the URLs. Do you know of any policy or practical reason to prefer .com to .fr domains? Maybe to be able to find duplicates more easily?... but there are often multiple sources for the same document, so the URL doesn't really function as a unique ID. --Macrakis (talk) 17:15, 3 July 2026 (UTC)

I'm not aware of any explicit policy about it, there was at some point a "Citation bot" that specifically changed the ".fr" to ".com" in some of them though, so I figured it might be better to do the same for the rest and that it might be preferred in some way. (They're only in ".fr" in the first place because they're originally from me and got localized by default, so I'm just smoothing up something caused by my own device. The ".com" format is more neutral and blends in better but that's it...) Zinjafr (talk) 18:02, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
