Does this really deserve an article?
[edit]From what I can gather, subtraction games are just any kind of (impartial?) game whose state is represented by a tuple which decreases each turn. This seems so broad so as to be unanalyzable, and indeed the article makes no claims about subtraction games in general, only talking about specific instances of interest. So is it worth having this article? viiii (talk) 11:40, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
- It is false that "the article makes no claims about subtraction games in general, only talking about specific instances of interest". The only part of the article for which that is accurate is the "Examples" section. In any case the existence of some 60 publications in Google Scholar with "subtraction games" in the title strongly suggests that this is a notable topic. —David Eppstein (talk) 16:38, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
