Maybe this should be merged with the article on subdirect irreducibles? The examples are practically the same (albeit with different emphasis), and the other article has more meat (in the form of properties). I've only looked in a couple of books, but they treat the topics in the same chapter/section. Besides, I've made some minor improvements to the other article, and I'm too lazy to duplicate them here. :-) The title of the merged article should be Subdirect product.
