Notability
[edit]With the exception of this SF article -- http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/11/15/NSK4T84GO.DTL&type=books -- there seems to be little news coverage of this subject that meets WP:RS and nothing that justifies (or sources) the level of detail in the article. The article should be seriously pruned or deleted unless there are other reliable sources that can show notability. Flowanda | Talk 09:03, 14 August 2009 (UTC) Quite. Tagging for you. It's pretty much all written by User:Setosis who's contributed only to this page. Sigh. AdventurousMe (talk) 13:00, 24 July 2014 (UTC)
Sourcing
[edit]The majority of this article is either sourced to primary sources (the subject's own website) or unsourced. I cleaned up some blatantly promotional parts, but I think this article could use a rewrite or deletion if the notability isn't there. Adleid (talk) 23:59, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi! I'm new to all this so please excuse my ignorance. I have added some information below. Please take a look. Thank you! Flimbert (talk) 15:36, 14 August 2025 (UTC)
COI edit request: Replace article with updated, neutral, fully sourced draft
[edit]Requested update to article (Conflict of Interest)
[edit]Hello, I am Stuart Schuffman (the subject of this article). Because I have a conflict of interest (WP:COI), I am not editing the article directly. Instead, I am providing a fully sourced draft for review and possible incorporation by independent editors.
The article is currently under an Articles for Deletion (AfD) discussion. I believe the new draft in my sandbox addresses the notability concerns by adding substantial, well-sourced coverage from reliable, independent outlets over more than two decades. I hope editors will review it quickly so improvements can be made before the AfD closes.
My updated draft is here: User:Flimbert/sandbox.
This draft significantly expands the biography to include well-sourced details about my books, television work, web series, mayoral campaign, and other projects, as well as awards and recognition. All statements are supported by reliable, independent sources, including national and regional publications such as the San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, SF Weekly, San Francisco Examiner, SFGATE, Axios, and others.
The current live version omits much of this notable, well-documented career coverage. Incorporating the updated content would:
- Improve accuracy and completeness.
- Reflect a wider range of independent coverage.
- Better meet the requirements of WP:BLP and WP:GNG.
I’m new to Wikipedia editing, so apologies for any formatting mistakes or process missteps. I’m happy to revise the sandbox based on feedback.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Flimbert (talk) 17:15, 11 August 2025 (UTC)
