Married or not?

The biography says he was Baptized so he could marry his Catholic girlfriend, so I wondered how he could become a Catholic priest if married. Obviously, he felt the calling to the priesthood at Baptism, so he never married, but it took me a while to figure that out. As a Baptized Roman Catholic, it was a bit confusing at first. Should the part about his calling to the priesthood be modified to mention that he didn't marry his girlfriend? Stargzer (talk) 04:24, 8 April 2022 (UTC)

I agree. I was also confused about that issue. I actually went to another source to clear up my confusion. Yes, the wording here should be more clear. I will see if I can find the "better" source that explained the situation more fully. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 06:10, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
