"A sazhen, an old Rus unit of length, was equal to seven feet" Absolutely wrong. It is about another, old sazhen which was used before 1649, it is so called mahovaya sazhen, it length not 2.1336m, but 1.778m. Sazhen which was equal to 7 feet was accepted only by Petr I in 18 century (Petr accepted British system as base). That why it is not "88,000 feet or 18.5 miles", but 15 miles (14000 * 1.778 = 24.892m or 15.4 miles). Exact the same length like between central Churches of Korchev (Kerch) and Tmutarakan.

The rest information is also of same quality. 89.22.57.253 (talk) 11:26, 25 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
