Wells could not have supported Joy Division in 1984 as they ceased to be after 1980 due to the death of Ian Curtis. Could this actually be a reference to the New Order, the group comprised of the surviving members of the Joy Division? Or could the date of 1984 be incorrect?

Hi, came to the talk page to see what the multiple issues are and all there is is an argument about whether the article shoudl have been deleted and something about Joy Division. There seems to be some disagreement about when he died - NME.com and The Guardian both say 23rd June, Philadelphia Weekly says 24th. Do we know who's right - is it due to the time difference? ... Of course Swells himself, if he were in a position to witness it, would probably consider any debate about this to be irrelevant, given that it doesn't contribute to the class struggle in any obvious way. Steven died on the evening of 24 June 2009 in Philadelphia.
