I am not objecting to the article's content on this but I wonder if he we have any sources besides his own word on him being an ANP member. Forbes, the leader of the chapter he would have, in theory, been a member of, quite persistently rejected the idea that he was. I've looked deep into this and found nothing. A few news articles stated he was, but it was likely based off of his own claims, since most specify that he only claimed to have been one. Ahern was also not reliable, he was somewhat of a troll and spent time in mental institutions throughout his life, his views and activism were all over the place. Well, he did seem pretty racist from some of the news articles I saw so it's not out of nowhere. It's probable he attended some of their meetings but was not a formal member, he did at the very least correctly identify one of the two YR guys as an attendee and the ANP was known for attracting nuts (especially the WD, which was the craziest part of the ANP).
IIRC the FBI had a pretty good list of who was in it and who attended meetings. So someone could do a FOIA on him (though not like we could cite it...) PARAKANYAA (talk) 05:44, 19 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
For sure, it's possible based on the YR incident, and my girlfriend did try a FOIA on him but they claimed to have nothing. Not the first time that's turned out to not be true, so I'll try again at some point. Swinub★05:57, 19 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
