Anatomy textbooks

[edit]

I edited to remove the unsourced assertion that "It is insufficiently mentioned in standard anatomy textbooks.". It would be good if someone with access to anatomy texts could research whether there's any substance to this. Has this view been asserted in medical journalism, have studies been done on occurrence & importance of studying the sternalis muscle?
