contradiction

The caviar article claims that this fish is nearly extinct! This article says that the Sterlet is a common fish of Eurasia! Icarus999 19:47, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Sterlets are listed as endangered and not common, and apparently are now two seperate pecies, this article now seems innaplicable/incorrect, although I am a new editor, so I do not know what to do about that. Eupleres (talk) 23:37, 18 November 2025 (UTC)

reclassification- article likely outdated/irrelivant taxon?

According to iNaturalist, and after doing some further research, the sterlet is apperently not an active taxon anymore, and is now two species, Acipenser ruthenus, and Huso ruthenus. I am a fairly new editor, but this seems like something in need of being addressed Eupleres (talk) 23:35, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
