Something is wrong. Article says, "In the War he served in North Africa and Italy with the Eighth Army.[3]" but also says he was born in 1939. He wouldn't have been 6 years old at the end of the war. RalphThayer (talk) 22:34, 6 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
It seems fairly clear from context, and even clearer from the London Review of Books reference, that the second and third sentences of the "family background" section refer to father Bill Sedley.
