Climate data from last offical WMO base period 1991-2020 should be used in weather box/climate section
[edit]Someone is insisting on changing weather box and inserting bad data, especially trying to remove the February avg low from being belov 0C. Stavanger only has full data from last offical base period from Stavanger airport Sola. There is one station named Stavanger, which is Stavanger - Våland, but this only has mean temperatures (and is actually slightly colder means as it is a bit higher altitude). So we use the Stavanger Airport Sola which has offical data also for avg high/low and precipitation. It is called Sola in the source from Noaa given here. If this person, which is not registrered user, insists on inserting unofficial data in weather box, I want this article to be protected. Here is the offical data (look at Sola): https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/data/oceans/archive/arc0216/0253808/6.6/data/0-data/Region-6-WMO-Normals-9120/Norway/CSV/. Orcaborealis (talk) 16:08, 31 July 2025 (UTC) So, wrong data is put in the weather box in this article time after time by an unregistrered user. I have described the problem here on the talk page, and provided link to the correct official data at Noaa. I have created a lot of the weather data about Norwegian cities and municipalities, as well as articles as Geography of Norway and pretty much all the data in Climate of Norway. However, if no one cares about correct data, and no one bother to support me about this and the need for correct daata, I might no longer bother to put in the time here at Wikipedia. --Orcaborealis (talk) 21:27, 26 August 2025 (UTC)
