i wanted to include a non technical definition of statics for people who have no background in physics so they can easily understand what statics is about. i think saying stuff like statics is about structures or statics is where the sum of the forces and moments equal zero or anything like that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense to ordinary people. saying something like 'statics is the branch of engineering that deals with how a load or loads applied to any sort of structure it can be figured out how it is transfered from where it is being applied to where it is being supported.' i wish anyone who edits who doesn't like it would consider improving it rather than removing it and try to keep it in simple terms that is easy for anyone to understand.

The meaning of 'static' should be extended to include....'static means nchanging which makes the state eternal and not motivating anything'. KK (78.146.78.140 (talk) 14:49, 5 November 2011 (UTC))Reply

What about quantum context?

[edit]

If there is quantum dynamics where is quantum statics? (And yes it's a thing.) 172.56.232.68 (talk) 17:05, 21 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
