Staring Array
[edit]The article states that the Javelin Anti-Tank missile uses a staring array, this is not true. The Javelin uses a scanned array. Thanks199.46.245.234 19:00, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Lack of clarity
[edit]Would the CCD in a normal digital camera also be considered a Focal Plane Array? The definition appears to imply so, but the rest of the article is concerned only with IR-sensitive chips. --Ildottoreverde (talk) 11:08, 1 November 2015 (UTC)
Merge with FPA
[edit]The principal difference between a staring array and other FPAs is that the staring array is two-dimensional and does not move, either in its assembly or relative to the subject of imaging.
