Ryan Pinkston

According to his page, he's been on the show in the past and it was what got him his first break as a member of Punk'd. He's definitely more famous than a fair few of the names listed, at least...he's been in TV shows and films since then. 78.86.230.62 (talk) 12:27, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

International versions?

The disambiguation page lists a Singapore version and I know there was an Australian version, too. But I don't have any other information, other than I used to personally know one of the winners of the latter. StaticSan (talk) 23:40, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

First Number 1 Hit

The article lists Tiffany as being the first Star Search contestant with a number 1 hit - "I Think We're Alone Now" in 1988. Does the Billboard Country Chart count? Because first season winners Sawyer Brown had the number 1 song on the country chart with "Step That Step" in 1985.--Michael.douglas.dean (talk) 16:40, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

I couldn't figure out why some names were in red and others not. If it denotes a winner, Sam Harris won in the first season.

Conan O'Brien

Is it just me or do anyone else find it hilarious that the likely cause for Netflix flubbing it by (falsely) claiming Conan O'Brien was discovered by Star Search is because some intern just uncritically took the info off of this page, where an editor inserted his name to this page back in 2019 (09:54, 6 July 2019)? That editor is long-since banned, but apparently made several hundred reasonable-looking edits before going off the vandalism cliff, and apparently nobody took the time to fine-comb all his contributions. (I can't even tell if that edit was insidious vandalism or just an honest mistake)...
