What exactly was abolished in 1930?

Good question. This is a common error on Wikipedia. In an encyclopedia, it is most important to know, at least, what the subject is. Is Staple Inn a physical entity? or a geographical area? or an abstract administrative division. The article starts off alright - it says it's a building. But then it says it was abolished in 1930. I was there a few days ago, and there it is, in all its actuality. The area within its precincts was extra-parochial, but then was made a civil parish in the 19th century. The civil parish, in common with all other civil parish divisions within boroughs and urban districts, was abolished in 1930, and it became part of the civil parish of Holborn. I could incorporate this into the article, but prefer to leave that, in true Wikipedia fashion, some someone far less knowledgeable than myself. Yawdem origami (talk) 10:52, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
