[edit]I believe it would be beneficial to reference the use of Stanislaus as a last name in the U.S. It would also be interesting to have a pronunciation guide for things such as names.
(My interest in this article was piked because my last name is in fact Stanislaus. I have heard it pronounced Stan-is-la and Stan-is-las {as in las Vegas} and would like to be educated and able to educate others in the traditional {if not standard} pronunciation of said name.)
