infobox for stalinism

i think an infobox for stalinism would be good, since most readers simply just want a quick read not reading the whole article to get 1 or 2 points Robloxgamer469 (talk) 18:46, 3 January 2026 (UTC)

I don’t support adding an infobox here. Wikipedia guidelines note that infoboxes are optional, and in this article it seems to add little beyond what is already explained in the prose. ~2026-80838 (talk) 02:40, 5 January 2026 (UTC)

Why would anyone read the whole article, it is so much simpler with an infobox to just read it for 15sec and then get the info, the article is also very long and hard to read. Robloxgamer469 (talk) 17:59, 19 January 2026 (UTC)

Infoboxes are not supposed to supplant the article body (see MOS:INFOBOXPURPOSE). It's bad practice when editors use them to. Yue🌙 (talk) 22:53, 22 January 2026 (UTC)

Classification Issue in Opening Definition

The opening sentence does not define Stalinism as a political ideology; it only describes it as a "means of governing." Later in the page, Stalinism is reffered to as an ideology. I think that it would be more clear if this was included in the definition. According to the wikipedia page on ideology, "An ideology is a set of beliefs or values attributed to a person or group of persons, especially those held for reasons that are not purely about belief in certain knowledge, in which "practical elements are as prominent as theoretical ones".
