Sri Chand's Truth in Guru Granth Sahib

ਸਚੁ ਜਿ ਗੁਰਿ ਫੁਰਮਾਇਆ ਕਿਉ ਏਦੂ ਬੋਲਹੁ ਹਟੀਐ ॥
सचु जि गुरि फुरमाइआ किउ एदू बोलहु हटीऐ ॥
Sacẖ jė gur furmā▫i▫ā ki▫o eḏū bolhu hatī▫ai.
The Guru gave the True Command; why should we hesitate to proclaim this?

ਪੁਤ੍ਰੀ ਕਉਲੁ ਨ ਪਾਲਿਓ ਕਰਿ ਪੀਰਹੁ ਕੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਮੁਰਟੀਐ ॥
पुत्री कउलु न पालिओ करि पीरहु कंन्ह मुरटीऐ ॥
Puṯrī ka▫ul na pāli▫o kar pīrahu kanĥ murtī▫ai.
His sons did not obey His Word; they turned their backs on Him as Guru.

ਦਿਲਿ ਖੋਟੈ ਆਕੀ ਫਿਰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਭਾਰੁ ਉਚਾਇਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਛਟੀਐ ॥
दिलि खोटै आकी फिरन्हि बंन्हि भारु उचाइन्हि छटीऐ ॥
Ḏil kẖotai ākī firniĥ banėh bẖār ucẖā▫iniĥ cẖẖatī▫ai.
These evil-hearted ones became rebellious; they carry loads of sin on their backs. (ਬਲਵੰਡਿ ਤੇ ਸਤਾ,,, ਪੰਨਾ 967, ਸਤਰ 4)

ਸਿਖਾਂ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਘੋਖਿ ਕੈ ਸਭ ਉਮਤਿ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਜਿ ਕਿਓਨੁ ॥
सिखां पुत्रां घोखि कै सभ उमति वेखहु जि किओनु ॥
Sikẖāʼn puṯrāʼn gẖokẖ kai sabẖ umaṯ vekẖhu jė ki▫on.
Guru Nanak tested His Sikhs and His sons, and everyone saw what happened.

ਜਾਂ ਸੁਧੋਸੁ ਤਾਂ ਲਹਣਾ ਟਿਕਿਓਨੁ ॥੪॥
जां सुधोसु तां लहणा टिकिओनु ॥४॥
Jāʼn suḏẖos ṯāʼn lahṇā tiki▫on. ||4||

please include what translation was used, these are taken from Raag Raamkali Bhatt Satta & Balwand aka Ang "page" 967 of 1430 of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Also this is taken out of context of the book as a whole as well as history as we know it. ;) 9:28 am 2/14/2021

Name of the subject (and the article)

Regarding the "Sri" in his name, which of these situations holds true here?

1. "Sri" is a given name, and "Chand" is a family name. Second references should just call him "Chand".
2. "Sri Chand" is a name standing alone. Second references should call him "Sri Chand".
3. "Sri" is a title, and "Chand" is his only name. All references should call him "Chand".

In the third situation, the article could need to be moved to a different title, such as Chand (Udasi); however, even if it's not proper per the naming conventions, "Sri Chand" is a useful disambiguator. —C.Fred (talk) 17:24, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

-Sri is prefix "in modern use" and should be attached to the his name regardless- See "GURU nanak" is listed with his title "guru". It may be disrespectful to call him by anything other then what he was known and Since Udasi is also used as a surname and a title in India today it could get confusing "Chand Udasi". In all historical literature he is referenced as Sri Chand or Baba Sri Chand but never as Chand or Baba Chand so one could say " Sri Chand" is one proper name as written in its original scrip. So "Sri Chand" with a space is just how we have chosen to translate it in modern English as Sri is most commonly used as a prefix however when written in sanskrit it wwould be "SriChand" no space. 9:28 am 2/14/2021

Here it is mentioned Sri Chand was egoistic whereas he was ascetic and renouncer
