Citations

[edit]

I see that someone has marked this page as needing citations. Some can probably be found in the book "AND SO MAKE A CITY HERE -The Story of a Lost Heathland" By G.E.Bate. I have lent my copy to someone so I don't have it to hand to find the correct pages to cite for the information given. Can anyone help? AndrewJFulker (talk) 14:05, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Unencyclopaedic wording

[edit]

This article comes across as some sort of promotional piece written by someone that lives there. Words like 'elegant', 'graceful', 'affluent', and 'desirable' are used over-generously, and- more to the point- are entirely lacking citations and certainly don't appear as quotes taken from published sources on the area. Presumably the main contributor endeavours to emphasise what they perceive to be the superior quality of the area, for whatever reason? Given that the 'Citations' point above was added to this talk page six years ago, surely it's time someone actually PROVIDED those citations, or the article warrants cutting back to a more reasonable state.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.109.212.86 (talk) 18:49, 12 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
