Production

[edit]

@FutureFlowsLoveYou: You claim that the liner notes credit Desper and Sandler with production. Where? I'm looking at the liner notes right now and while you are correct that Wilson is credited as "executive producer" on the vinyl disc, the Ben Edmonds liner notes simply states that "Spring is produced by Brian Wilson." Desper and Sandler are seemingly uncredited for production. ili (talk) 23:03, 22 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi @ILIL, I sourced the Producer's credits from the tracklist on the inner gatefold of my original Dutch copy, a US 1972 variant is also listed as having a gatefold. I couldn't verify if all the original pressings had gatefolds due to missing images (such as the back of the album missing from some pressings) and missing information (No gatefold tag on the US variant & German pressing, despite having an identifiable gatefold)
This being backed up by the Badman 2004, p. 321. citation on the same paragraph just before the removed section, which states Desper & Sandler's production involvement. All together, it made me believe the statement insists a vagueness/inconsistency that does not exist according to already existing sources and the album itself. Sandler & Desper collectively but not individually hold producer's credit on every single track.
I'll remember to cite information more directly in summaries, I should've probably been clearer. Sorry! FutureFlowsLoveYou (talk) 11:14, 23 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
@FutureFlowsLoveYou: Interesting. I don't own a physical copy, so I was just going off the available images on Discogs. Thanks for keeping an eye out. It'd be good to include all that extra track info to the article. I'll add it myself if I ever have the time. ili (talk) 21:23, 24 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
