year missing

[edit]

It appears I'm missing 2010. The 2011 numbers I got from the main page, and here. I removed a notice about planned projections for 2010, because it doesn't read right, and I suspect this is what I'm looking for, but I can't find a source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Danthemango (talkcontribs) 04:54, 21 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello, my name is Marcie Crosbie and I'm a Digital Communications Specialist with Plan Canada. Plan Canada has recently acquired Spread the Net in to our portfolio of projects. We'd like to make some of edits to the page to reflect this change and the successes of the project to date. Here are the requested changes:

1. Update to have the new logo.

2. Update affiliations so that it's accurate (only Plan Canada should be affiliated)

3. Update regions served so that it's accurate (Uganda, Rwanda, Liberia, Guinea)

4. Update website so that it's accurate (spreadthenet.ca)

5. Update location so that it's accurate (Plan Canada, 245 Eglinton Ave East, Suite 300 Toronto, Ontario, M4P 0B3)

6. Update motto so that it's accurate (“1 Net. 10 Bucks. Save Lives.”)

7. Introductory section --> Include info on how Spread the Net is an initiative of Plan Canada (Source: http://plancanada.ca/page.aspx?pid=5643)

8. History section --> Add information about Spread the Net joining Plan Canada's portfolio of projects [1]http://plancanada.ca/page.aspx?pid=5643); add a source about the launch of Spread the Net ([2]http://www.unicef.org/infobycountry/media_36509.html)

9. Student challenge section --> Include the list of top fundraising schools since the launch of the Student Challenge in 2007, how many school have participated in the Student Challenge, and how much money the Student Challenge has raised for bed nets so far.

10. Sources --> Since the website of Spread the Net has changed, many of the links to sources sited do not work anymore. Would like the remove bad links.

I've reverted most of the changes to the article text, as it sounded overly promotional. You will really need to keep your corporate-speak in check if you want your edit requests on Wikipedia to be successful. I've kept the infobox, though, and I also fixed a couple of more glaring errors with the previous version. If there's anything left that you would still like to change, Marcieoutloud, then please open a new request. And you should probably read WP:V and WP:NPOV if you haven't done so already. Let me know if you have any questions about any of this. Best regards — Mr. Stradivarius ♪ talk ♪ 09:59, 31 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
