No copyvio

[edit]

Okay, no copyvio. But that isn't a reason to include the whole abstract of that paper. tgeorgescu (talk) 00:21, 6 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Definition/etymology of spirituality

[edit]

This section is wrong. The word, spirituality, does not derive from French. It comes from Latin. Nor does it pertain to the soul. The English “spirit” derives from the Latin “spiritus,” which means “breath.” Hence, “inspiration,” which means “in breath,” and “expire,” “breathe out.” The idea that the breath contains the energy of life is not unique to European traditions. In Jewish Scripture, God brings Adam to life by blowing into his nostrils. In India, pranayama is a program of exercising the breath to attain higher levels of awareness. Buddhists also meditate on the breath. In Polynesia, the honi is a way to exchange mana by means of breathing into each other’s noses. The belief that spirit and soul are synonyms is common but erroneous nonetheless. 50.34.56.10 (talk) 17:08, 21 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

The five levels of the spiritual path

Hello. The section talks about "the existence of different "spiritual paths"". The diagram depicts the typical spiritual path. I can change the wording to "Diagram showing a typical example of spiritual path" Please advise (@Largoplazo:). Pm69 (talk) 04:02, 16 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

It's not explained in the body of the article, and the source is primary and not WP:RS. Therefor, it is WP:UNDUE. Regards, Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 04:20, 16 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
There's nothing in the article that defines a "spiritual path" as having levels, let alone those particular levels. Then, suddenly, a caption, with no context and citing no sources, declares this to be what a spiritual path consists of—and then elaborates no further, leaving us in the dark as to what these would even mean.
I'm assuming the illustrations you're adding (this and the one at Yin and yang) made sense in the context of whatever the book you created them for (the one to which you added references that you then removed) says about yin and yang and about spirituality, but that doesn't mean they make sense here. In fact, I've realized that all your contributions to Wikipedia over the last 15 years have involved touting books that you wrote and self-published. I didn't have to look far (in case anyone thinks I've been doxing you). The books you, yourself, brought to our attention are listed and it isn't too far a stretch to guess that PM stands for the name of the author/co-publisher. This is a prohibited use of Wikipedia. I've removed your additions from all the articles that you've edited. Largoplazo (talk) 13:59, 16 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Yes, he is a hero.
"All my contributions" means uploading 3 images in 15 years.
I didn't know what the rules were.
I am closing my Wikipedia and Wikimedia accounts.
Please remove this conversation (@Joshua Jonathan:).
Thank you. Pm69 (talk) 21:33, 17 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
