Intended edit plan

[edit]

I plan to make some changes regarding this article and its sections. To fill content gaps, I would like to add content to the existing description, distribution, and reproduction sections. In the description section I want to write about the turtle's spine and its purpose, in the distribution section I would like to add facts about the turtle's habitat in lowland forest and brief details about the spiny turtle's first confirmed existence in Myanmar, and in the reproduction section I can copyedit the current text in the article to clarify differences between reproduction in captivity and in the wild so that readers will more easily understand the section. Also, I would like to copyedit the description section as well to eliminate grammatical errors. As for new sections, usually species articles contain anatomy, general behavior, taxonomy, and conservation status sections, which I would like to implement in this article. In each of the respective sections, I plan to include information about the turtle's molecular and DNA sampling, its diet, its kingdom to its species, and how the conversion of natural forests to oil palm plantations has threatened the turtles and led to the need for conservation efforts. These edits will overall help the article to better align with established Wikipedia standards about species articles. My annotated bibliography in the bibliography sandbox on the Wikipedia dashboard is linked below. Ltomohara (talk) 12:58, 5 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
