Transfer of content to tensor operator

[edit]

It seems the two concepts spherical basis + spherical tensor, and tensor operators + spherical tensor operators, are really very closely intertwined through the spherical harmonics, and also appear to be two separate things.

This article on spherical basis should discuss them then go on to explain spherical tensors. The other article on tensor operators should include spherical tensor operators as a subset. This arrangement of articles seems to nicely run with the terminology, as far as I can tell.

If there are big objections, which so far there aren't yet at wikiproject mathematics, then the changes can all be reverted easily. MŜc2ħεИτlk 08:54, 13 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

"Real" content to the article coming soon...

[edit]

Yes, currently the article is absolutely trivial for its volume and I will look for more info about the subject. But even if the article is just the definition of them, I think it should still be a separate article. MŜc2ħεИτlk 09:02, 13 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
